Drink Responsibly
Last Updated: July 14, 2026
For adults of legal drinking age only
NightDare is a party drinking game. It is meant to be a good time, not a bad decision. If you are not old enough to drink legally where you live, do not play with alcohol.
Know your limits
Drink at your own pace. There is no prize for finishing first and no shame in sitting a round out. Swap in water, food, or a non-alcoholic drink whenever you want.
Nobody at your table owes anyone a drink, and the Dare Master is not your mother or your doctor. Pour less, sip slower, or skip entirely. The game keeps running whether you drink or not.
If a dare asks for something you are not comfortable with, drink to skip it or just skip it. Every dare is optional. Consent comes first, every round, no exceptions.
Plan your ride home
Decide how everyone gets home before the first roll. Pick a designated driver, call a rideshare, or plan to stay the night.
Never drink and drive. Never let a friend who has been drinking get behind the wheel. The night is not worth a life.
Who should not play with alcohol
Do not drink as part of this game if any of these apply to you:
- You are under the legal drinking age where you live (21 in the United States).
- You are pregnant or could become pregnant.
- You take medication that interacts with alcohol, or a doctor has told you not to drink.
- You are in recovery from alcohol or substance use, or you have struggled with addiction.
- You are about to drive, operate machinery, or do anything that needs you sharp.
You can still play NightDare. Use water, soda, or any non-alcoholic drink in place of alcohol. The dares and the race are just as fun sober.
Signs of alcohol poisoning
Alcohol poisoning is a medical emergency. The CDC lists these warning signs. Call 911 right away if someone:
- Cannot be woken up, or cannot stay conscious.
- Is vomiting while asleep or passed out, and cannot stay awake.
- Has slow, irregular, or stopped breathing.
- Has pale, clammy, or bluish skin, or a very low body temperature.
- Has a seizure.
Do not wait for all the signs to appear, and do not let them "sleep it off" alone. Keep them on their side and stay with them until help arrives. If in doubt, call 911. You will not get in trouble for saving a life.
It is just a game
NightDare is entertainment. The Dare Master is a fictional character. Nothing the game tells you is medical, legal, safety, or professional advice.
The dares, minigames, and drink prompts are suggestions for a party, not orders. You can ignore, change, or replace any of them. The game does not enforce anything. You and your friends decide what actually happens at your table.
We do not provide, serve, sell, deliver, or control any alcohol, and we are not present at your game.
You assume the risk
By playing NightDare, you accept full responsibility for your own choices and what happens at your table. That includes how much you and your guests drink, any dares you take, and the actions of every person playing.
NightDare, its operators, and its affiliates are not responsible or liable for any injury, illness, accident, property damage, or death that results from playing the game, including from alcohol use, dares, or the conduct of other players.
You play entirely at your own risk. If you host a game, you are responsible for the safety of your guests, including anyone who has been drinking. This page supplements, and does not replace, our Terms of Service.
